Energy mines produce the Energy resource in the world of Novopangea. You will need Energy to run any building inside of the world of Novopangea daily. 

The Energy that you create can be exchanged for Obsidian in the Novo Exchange. As our game expands into PVP materials buildings will have additional use cases in creating Realm specific resources.
